Continuing through the massive Victor Sinclair sampler on a belated Sunday smoke during a nippy-monday afternoon is the namesake Bohemian cigar. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the other Bohemians, and although I should have started with this one, I’m looking forward to it, as with any VS cigar.

The cigar draws quite effortlessly to fill the mouth with a warm, peppery smoke with an initial tang on the tongue. It’s not harsh nor too much bite with the pepper, bioth of which are tame as the cigar warms up. This carries a rich deep earthy taste that’s dry and woody, but with a wet-like earthiness. A light chocolaty sweetness is found under this earthiness in the aftertaste. Retrohaling, the smoke gets hot in the nose quickly and the pepper stings. However, it reveals more of the dryer, sweet chocolate as well as a toasted-nut sense. It’s easy to want to retrohale this cigar despite the nip on the nose from the hot smoke.

The aroma is also a rich, deep chocolate-like sweetness but with an equal amount of the unique tobacco mixture complementing it. There’s some underlying layers that are in the mix as well, notably cinnamon smell, but I can’t pin down what the others are. Overall it’s a deep, warm smell, and a bit hot to the nose.

The Bohemian is a nice rich tasting cigar without being too strong. Once again, Victor Sinclairs unique tobacco is present in this lush mixture, while being a strongly unique cigar in his lineup. Very enjoyable.
