Brewed in Amager, Denmark, this is a thick, heavy Oatmeal stout brewed with Coffee. How can this be a bad thing?

It’s not, but wow it’s heavy. While the word Hop may be in the title, it’s not overly hoppy. Yes, there is a nice hoppy bite that cuts through the thick stoutness, but it’s no IPA. I tasted more of the hops and bitterness in the aftertaste.

And the coffee? It’s there, but you have to dig for it in the taste. Let a quaff stay in the mouth and a few moments in the aftertaste, you will detect some coffee bitterness, but just faintly.

I enjoyed this quite a bit, there’s enough bitterness coming through the stout to help liven that up, but wow is this a heavy beer, not something you will drink in large quantities.
