Brewed by nØgne Ø in Grimstad, Norway, what we have here is a very tasty, but albeit light IPA.

The initial sip brings a bitter bubble to the lips and mouth, delivering a nice soury-sweet IPA style taste. It’s smooth, however, and while it does contain a hoppy taste, it’s far from being overpowered by the hops, as the sourness and sweetness really balances them out. In the aftertaste, you will get a buildup of that hoppy bite, but also a nice IPA sweetness to boot.

Two Captains is a nice take on the IPA, it’s not too hoppy or soury and bitter. It balances these tastes out well, and is definitely a sipping brew with 8.5% Alcohol content. It still packs a tasteful, hoppy punch, but does it gently.
