Once again, Triumph Brewery in New Hope, PA delivers with their awesome rotation of brews, and this time it’s a powerfully smooth Scotch Ale.
The initial sip delivers a mild bitterness to the tongue with a nearly non-existent selzter. A noticeable smooth Ale taste quickly fills the mouth, carrying a subtle kick perhaps from the scotch, which has seemed to have removed any hoppyness or beer-taste. However, a nice sour taste coats the tongue, leaving a light saltiness on the sides of it.
Overall, this glorious craft brew is very smooth & creamy with a little after-the-quaff alcoholic kick that will keep you from enjoying more than two glasses. The aftertaste however will leave you satisfied with a coating of vanilla, malts and awesomeness to savour.
I love it.
