An imperial IPA that was brewed to turn your world upside down. Hops will get you coming and going. Pungent aromatics up front pair with a malt-balanced backbone and a smooth, bitter finish.
So my second ale of the evening at Eulogy Belgian Tavern was an IPA recommendation from the barman. And it was an excellent one!
I asked for hops. I asked for bitterness. And he delivered. This beer is a hoppy, soury and bitter IPA and I enjoy that. A must-sip brew, it hits the lips and tongue immediately with a righteous sour-sting that lovers of IPA’s and hops long for. Well, at least I do. While it does have a sweet underlayer, it’s an explosion of bitterness stinging the tongue and the mouth, leaving behind a savoury melting soury-sweetness. An absolutely astounding IPA that I’ve tried to find in a few local stores with no reward. While Founder’s other brews are readily available, this particular craft seems to be a rarity. Ashame, as I want more, please!
