A cigar given to me by our BD guy at work, very grateful! The tobacco in the Cabinet series is aged longer than their standard line, supposedly giving it more body & flavor.

The draw is very smooth and silky, the smoke is comfortably warm as it fills the mouth. A warm, cocoa powder chocolate taste with tobacco it noticeable right away, with a very light pepper that remains in the aftertaste as well as a creamy sweetness. Retrohaling brings out a full woodiness flavour, maybe slightly nutty? Leaving the smoke in the mouth for a bit reveals an interesting tobacco taste, much like a ginger or herbal taste.

A thick smoke drags out of this quick-burning cigar and is quite warm to the nose. It fills the air with a sweet, cocoa chocolaty aroma, with a distinct tobacco note and some rich earthiness as the cigar nears its end.

For a cigar priced at $8-$14 a piece, I enjoy the finer qualities of the production and craftsmanship that went into this premium beauty. Well balanced and fairly consistent, it’s not something I’d purchase often; it lacks character. But, it is a good overly-sweet cigar with a nice tobacco quality to it that keep it from being too sweet, so maybe once in a while, eh?
