Onto my next stick which won’t be standing for very long, the “A” stick. I think this cigar may have come through a stargate, just saying from the style of the A there.

While the cigar starts off slightly hot and bitey, that quickly goes away and mellows out for the life of the cigar. The draw is very smooth and airy, with the smoke being cool in the mouth. The initial draw lightly coats the tongue with a cinnamon-textured pepper. There’s no cinnamon taste at all here, but it’s similar only in texture. A smoked-wood taste coats the rest of the mouth. The aftertaste brings up more of the gentle pepper, especially in the throat, while the smoked wood smooths out to milky like taste. Retrohaling cooks the smoked wood to a more meaty flavour, with some light hints of cocoa powder. Exhaling through the nose is midly warm and tingly with the pepper showing it’s mildest strength on the way out. An aftertaste from holding the smoke int he mouth for a bit brings out a slight liquorice aftertaste.

The aroma is highly enjoyable, starting out cool and light but getting thicker and warmer as the cigar progresses. There’s a strong scent of acinnamon-Corojo being carried. A sweet, caramel like layer and a cocoa powder aroma blend nicely together. While I can’t say there’s a pepperyness to it, there is a bit of a nose nip to the overall exiting aroma. However at idle, the scent is warm, rich and deep with hints of earth and a much more sweeter chocolate. Overall the smoke is a big hot to the nose, but it’s very rich.

I’m fairly convinced this is a Corojo wrapped cigar. I am a big fan of Corojo’s (Vinctor Sinclairs’ Serie 55 Triple Corojo is a huge favorite), and this shows all the tastes & aroma of Corojo. It’d be interesting to see if this cigar wins out, I could see getting a box of them as there’s a lot ot enjoy from the aroma, the taste is satisfying, and the overall draw of the cigar is excellent. If it’s over $2.50 a stick? Maybe not, since it is a very consistent cigar without too much overall life to it, but that’s not a bad thing at all.
