I like box-shaped cigars, they always deliver the taste exceptionally well. This is definitely one of the larger ones I’ve smoked, and it’s a bit comical to place in the mouth initially, but it is actually quite easy to puff on with the smaller height offered in the shape.

The draw is very smooth and the smoke very cool to the mouth. There’s only the slightest hint of pepper on initial light, quickly disappearing thereafter. A light, smokey taste initially floods the mouth and a dry wood taste resides soon after. Some salt and tangyiess lay on the sides of the tongue. Retrohaling brings out more citrusy sweetness, leaving behind a light cocoa taste. The smokiness cooks to a smoked-meat sensation. Overall, the taste is pretty light and easy going.

The aroma is very complex and hearty with an overall herbal tobacco aroma carrying a citrusy sweetness. The smoke is quite hot to the nose where you’ll find a peppery nip if inhaled too much. Layers of cocoa powder, cedar and chocolate are noticeable.

Overall it’s an enjoyable cigar that smokes and burns very well, though it does flake the ash too easily. While the taste is fairly lacking, the aroma is definitely enjoyable leaning to a more cigar-ish experience. That said, I’d not purchase any more of these, it simply isn’t all that unique, but it is a solid cigar nonetheless.
