About halfway through my Victor Sinclair sampler to meet up with a mild-bodied treat wrapped in a Connecticut wrapper; the Primeros Tabacos.

This is a light cigar; the taste is very mild. You need to puff a mouthful of smoke to really get a taste from it. The smoke is not hot, and absolutely no trace of spice or pepper here. You do get a dry, woody taste initially from this with a cardboard like texture. Retrohaling, and holding the smoke in a bit, reveals a light chocolatey or vanilla sweetness. The typical Victor Sinclair tobacco taste that I am getting familiar with is not very present in this. There is a bit of an almost sugary aftertaste to it, perhaps more vanilla-like, but it’s not a sugar-cube stick that some other cigars tend towards.

The aroma is quite different and very, very sweet with a caramel & vanilla sweetness. The smoke is mostly tame to the nose, but gets hotter as the cigar progresses. It’s something easily over-inhaled! There is a touch of some other notes, perhaps cinnamon, to the scent, but it remains quite consistent.

Overall this is a light to mild cigar that doesn’t offer much in the taste, albeit it does leave a nice sweet aftertaste. The aroma is very enjoyable and sweet overall, though it does produce a very light cloud. Anyone nearby should enjoy the heavenly, sweet aroma as well! A nice easy going cigar that is usually sold at a great bargain to make a fine morning or daily smoke that isn’t overly strong to enjoy.
