A 5 year aging process with 5 tobacco-sourced countries make up the 55 title to this line, and here we have one with a sun-grown wrapper.

The Series 55 is my favorite from Victor Sinclair, the aging and tobacco selection gives the cigar a great, unique tobacco taste and aroma, and this sun-grown really complements the filler well.

Every aspect of this cigar is just smooth. Puff in an easily-drawn mouthful of smoke and you taste a light, sweet caramel flavour mixed with sweet-smoked meat and wood. The smoke is quite cool and contains no harsh or pepperiness to it. Retrohaling reveals a slight dry nuttyness, more smoked meat taste and of course the carrying caramel sweet flavour, though after halfway through the cigar, a very light pepper shows up if you hold the smoke in the mouth for a bit.

As with all the Series 55 cigars, the aroma is excellent with that very unique VS tobacco quality that I enjoy. Its very caramel sweetness is cool to the nose and can be inhaled and enjoyed with no problems. A common blend of herbal, earthyness and smoked meat qualities emit from the cigar, providing a nice adventure in determine what your smelling as the cigar progresses.

I really enjoy this Sun Grown version of the Series 55. I currently am smoking a box of the Maduro 55’s, which while are a good smoke, lose a lot of the unique tobacco qualities from the stronger Maduro wrapper. This Sun Grown allows the unique filler to come through much better for a more well rounded cigar. The Sun Grown is also lighter and sweeter than the standard Series 55. A very good mild cigar for the morning!
