We had our big show at Club Rare during a NYC Industrial Weekend, and here’s the photos!
We were scheduled to go on at 2:00 Am, a pretty late time already. As usual, and with the amount of bands playing that night, we went on late, around 3:15 or so. We put on a great show to abotu 13 people I think.
My friends Paul, John and Paul’s friend TJ were there to see us, and I thank them very much for coming out that late. Thank god it was on a friday night. At least someone got to see us!
The show was not for nothing however! We made money, got free liquor, Blake got trashed and we have more shows to do including this event again. Can’t ask for more, eh?
Technical Stuff
I learned from the last time and was prepared. There was already a rug on the stage this time, but I had bought and brought my own and used it anyway, so no floating pedals!
I am now playing using a headphone set which contains the music from the ADAT used for the backing tracks. I hear what goes out to the PA system in the club, plus the drum track. The audience only hears mine and some other drum effects. The mix went well and I heard everything great including the live sound from Blake and Nick and Ed’s singing outside of the headphones. I hope to have more good sets like this!
